There is nothing more rewarding than watching a patient walk through our doors, receive exceptional care, and walk back out into the life they love.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Every day I have the privilege of working\u00a0alongside\u00a0our <a href=\"https:\/\/innovativerenal.com\/patient\/location\/kidney-center-of-the-rockies\/\">Medical Director<\/a>, Dr. Daniel Andreoli, and our\u00a0clinic staff,\u00a0Karen\u00a0Roesenberg, David Barnett, Andrea Messier, Heidi Duenas Rojas, Jennifer Dixon, and Kelli Schertz. Together we care for\u00a0dialysis\u00a0patients\u00a0near and far\u00a0with the attention,\u00a0expertise, and compassion they deserve.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">When the Kidney Center of the Rockies opened in Avon, CO\u00a0in 2017, we knew we were filling a critical gap. There were no dialysis centers between the Denver area and Grand Junction, a stretch of over 100 miles that runs through some of the most beautiful and visited communities in Colorado.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">A Patient Who Stays\u00a0with You<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Jeff Miller is a lifelong skier who has lived with kidney disease for 42 years. Through two transplants, open heart surgery, and a cancer diagnosis, he has never stopped fighting to stay active.\u00a0Before the Kidney Center of the Rockies opened,\u00a0ski\u00a0trips\u00a0to the area\u00a0were not possible\u00a0as there were no dialysis centers\u00a0to provide\u00a0the life sustaining treatment\u00a0required.\u00a0Now, as a regular dialysis travel patient\u00a0with Kidney Center of the Rockies, Jeff\u00a0returns back\u00a0to Vail to ski\u00a0Blue Ox, Gandy Dancer, and the Back Bowls\u00a0each year\u2014an\u00a0important part of feeling healthy in the face of\u00a0all of\u00a0his\u00a0challenges.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">That is exactly why we are here.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Recognized for Excellence<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The Kidney Center of the Rockies is proud to be the only <a href=\"https:\/\/innovativerenal.com\/patient\/cms-quality-patient-experience\/\">5-Star dialysis center<\/a> in over a 100-mile radius. That recognition comes directly from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, which rates every dialysis center in the country on a scale of 1 to 5 stars, measuring both quality of patient care and patient experience. A 5-Star rating means a center is performing well above average compared to dialysis facilities across the country.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">However, patients do not remember their center&#8217;s star rating.
