A recent outbreak has been linked to shredded lettuce served at some restaurants and food-service locations\u00a0as well as other developing cases that may be linked to\u00a0additional\u00a0produce.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 aria-level=\"3\"><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Why Dialysis Patients Are at Higher Risk<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">People receiving dialysis may have a weaker immune system, making it harder to fight infections. While many healthy people recover on their own, Cyclospora infection can last longer and cause more severe symptoms in dialysis patients.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 aria-level=\"3\"><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Know the Symptoms<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Symptoms usually begin about one week after eating contaminated food, but they can take longer to appear.
