Vaughan Kidney Care Dialysis Center is Now Open in Selma, AL

Vaughan Regional Medical Center and Innovative Renal Care Partner to Open New Dialysis Center

Innovative Renal Care (IRC) and Vaughan Regional Medical Center, a community-based hospital affiliated with ScionHealth, are excited to partner in the opening of a new dialysis center in the Selma, AL community.

Vaughan Kidney Care, a dialysis center conveniently located at 1360 E. Highland Avenue in Selma, now provides the local community in-center hemodialysis (ICHD), peritoneal dialysis (PD), and home hemodialysis (HD) for those experiencing end stage renal disease (ESRD). Long-time community nephrologist Kent Taylor, MD, from Vaughan Nephrology, serves as the Medical Director for the center.

“We are thrilled to provide state-of-the-art dialysis services to our local community in a beautiful, patient-centered environment. The goal of our care team is to make each patient feel comfortable and supported holistically through their treatment journey. We offer guidance and education ranging from navigation of insurance to managing a healthy diet,” stated David McCormack, CEO of Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

“Our collaboration aims at offering enhanced patient outcomes, contributing to an increased quality of life for patients with end stage renal disease in Central Alabama. By offering eight in-center stations and options for peritoneal dialysis or home hemodialysis, patients have some flexibility in choosing the type of treatment that best fits their lifestyle,” added Nick Mendez, CEO of Innovative Renal Care.

A grand opening celebration is being planned alongside the Selma and Dallas County Chamber of Commerce for this spring. For more information about dialysis services or the clinic, please call 334-876-0076.
